Morning

By now, most of you probably know that Sen. Tim Johnson had surgery for an AVM. Mark's cavernous angioma is a type of AVM, called cavernous because of its location deep in the brain. Here is a link to Yahooo and MSN's coverage of Tim Johnson.

I think Sen. Johnson could have chosen more enjoyable ways to be "just like Mark".

Hope things are going well today.

A cavernous angioma is _not_ a type of AVM. CAs are capillary malformations; AVMs are, as their name suggests, arterial and venous. Generally, they are a bunch of vessels where arteries connect to veins, rather than going through capillaries.
