I'm bak

Rico's been saway for awhile, but he's back now.

First there was this time in various hospitals, in varying states of conciousness, but then I was let out into the world, moe or less tht same as when I went in.

Chritine has, as related below, been taking care of me throughout, for which I am eternally grateful.

I'm as stupid and ornery as ever, I'm told, so the experience didn't change much, apparently.

But it did give me a new sense of gratefulness for smal pleasure and courtesies, so it wasn't a wasted time.

i"ll relate what I can recall here for your amusement as we go along. Questions are welcme, and some may actually ge answered.

My undying love and gratitude to those who too care of me, startig with Christine.

It"s an odd thing to say, but I'm grateful to be back, and apparently in such good shape.

More anon.

Well you sure as heck 'sound' as ornery as usual.... guess it 'should' be that way. Glad to see you responding as well as you are. Ole Mild Bill has been keeping 'us' up to date on ya. Guess you won't be shootin' at Quinton April 1st? Sure hope this 'experience' has help improve your aim.... it sure needed it. Hazel Pepper says "HELLO to Ya." How 'bout some pictures of Christine in an Angel outfit? : ) All we git to see is your mug! Be well.... Deacon Will

Mark, between this entry and that *amazingly* timed phone call to Ben - we are overjoyed, and there are cheers going up in your honor at S/V Ulysses. We can ring the bell, but sadly there's no cannon to salute with, and somehow I think the Coasties would look askance at our firing off the flares...

Mark I tell ya you had this family scared shitless. Just another Mark stunt I guess? Geez we should be used to it after all these years.

I want to repeat my thank you for the picture of mom you sent to Dave last year. My copy arrived at Christmas and it was humbling and profound considering what you were going through at the time.

I think of you everyday. Give Chris a smooch for all of us. I'm just so very, very glad you are back.

Well ... it is certainly good to hear that you are bak ... Glad to see that you are still ornery and grateful. I think that is what keeps our spirit strong. You are doing great and Christine is an Angel ... she stayed focused and brought you back home. Keep up the great amazing work and I would think that it is fair to say that we are all proud of you.
Perhaps now you can get yourself a kitten (not to replace Blossom)but just a fluffy animal sitting on your lap purring... the sound of comfort. Welcome back!

Hey Bear-San,

Glad you are hooked up on your computer again now instead of on other devices. A big bear hug from the other side of the ocean, where actually no bears are present but only scared little guys(and scared we were for your well being). I assume I can now safely go back to the ongoing task of every Dutch guy: monitoring our bikes and dikes?
Big Kiss for Chris!
